Alcoholismis  a condition in which a person has an overwhelming desire or need to consume alcohol despite any negative consequences. A person with this condition cannot control how much they consume and can go months or even years without being sober. Over time their tolerance level to alcohol increases which leads to an increase in their alcohol consumption. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that around 3.3 million deaths worldwide each year are a direct result of alcohol abuse. If you or a loved one is having trouble with alcohol consumption, help is available. For more information visit
